It’s just 2 months into 2018 and we’ve seen some spectacular limited overs cricket already. There have been so many nail biting contests and such prolific excitement.
So, here’s the World T20 XI based on performances in 2018
Openers
Martin Guptill
Colin Munro
This has been an amazing opening pair for New Zealand. New Zealand’s success in limited overs has largely rested on these two and hence both of them find a place in this team.
Middle Order
One Down: Shikhar Dhawan
Two Down: Virat Kohli
Three Down: Suresh Raina
Fourth Down: Babar Azam
All these batsmen have been in a great touch this year. Virat Kohli has already gone past 500 runs in ODIs and he’s just been sensational in India’s success in South Africa. Virat Kohli shall also be the skipper of this team as his legacy in unparalleled.
Wicket Keeper
Heinrich Klaasen
Klaasen is perhaps the best find of 2018 so far. This sensational youngster got a call to the team as Faf Du Plessis got injured. Klaasen has been sensational and he can hit the ball a long distance and make it disappear. He’s a decent wicket keeper to and hence the wicket keeper in this team to power the middle order and be a finisher.
All Rounders
JP Duminy
He’s been good both with the bat and the ball in this year. He can bat anywhere in the batting order and destroy the bowling attacks.
Bowlers
Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Trent Bout
Tim Southee
Tim Southee is the leading wicket taker in T20 internationals this year. Tim Southee has 11 wickets and Trent Boult too has 11 wickets in T20 internationals this year. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has 7 wickets and about him, his economy is the cherry on the cake. These pacers would be assisted by Glen Maxwell, Suresh Raina and Colin Munro.
