Gujarat Titans keeper Wriddhiman Saha achieved a huge milestone in the Indian Premier League as he became the 3rd keeper in the history of this league to complete over 100 dismissals behind the wicket.

Saha joined the likes of MS Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik in the Elite List. He achieved the milestone in the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League match between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Narendra Modi International Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Wriddhiman Saha Achieved A Big Milestone

During the ongoing game, GT’s pacer Mohammad Shami ran through the batting line-up of Delhi Capitals inside the powerplay and left them reeling at 23/5 inside the 5 overs. But the credit for these wickets also goes to Wriddhiman, who showcased exceptional skills behind the wickets.

Wriddhiman Saha took three great catches during the game and was involved in the dismissals of Rilee Rossouw (8), Manish Pandey (1), and Priyam Garg (10).

While all the catches were amazing but the catch to dismiss Pandey was excellent. Saha flung himself to his right and completed the one-handed stunner to send Pandey back into the pavilion, which was also his 100th dismissal in the IPL.

Saha is only the third player in the IPL history to complete 100+ dismissals in IPL, following CSK skipper MS Dhoni and RCB’s Dinesh Karthik.

1. MS Dhoni – 178 wickets in 243 matches.

2. Dinesh Karthik – 169 wickets in 238 matches.

3. Wriddhiman Saha – 102* wickets in 153 matches.

4. Robin Uthappa – 90 wickets in 205 matches.

5. Parthiv Patel – 81 wickets in 139 matches.

Saha has been playing in the marquee league since its inception in the year 2008. He has played for Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings, Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Gujarat Titans in the IPL.
