India and Australia are all set to lock horns against each other in the high-voltage ICC World Test Championship final, which is all set to kickstart from tomorrow, i.e., June 7th at The Oval in London. Superstar batter Steve Smith will be a key player for Australia against the lethal Indian bowling attack.
In 18 games, Smith has scored 1887 runs against India and his average is 65.06 while facing the Indian bowlers. The Indian bowlers will have a huge task on their shoulders to contain him during the WTC Final 2023.
Spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin loom as key players for the Indian cricket team, especially after the duo dominated as India retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy with a 2-1 series triumph over Australia earlier this year.
Besides this, Jadeja and Ashwin also have a great record against Steve Smith, especially the former. Time and again, Jadeja has outplayed the brilliance of Smith.
For the unversed, Jadeja has dismissed Smith 7 times in Test cricket in 18 innings. Smith has scored 232 runs against Jadeja.
Steve Smith’s Special Plan To Counter Ravindra Jadeja

Meanwhile, Smith along with the entire Australian cricket team have been gearing up for the upcoming ICC event. As per reports, Smith has been facing a lot of ‘Daniel Vettori wanging down deliveries with a side-arm from over the wicket.’
With Jadeja bowls from over the wicket, Steve Smith is leaving no stone unturned in preparing himself to face the Indian spin wizard.
Meanwhile, Smith was also spotted using a special funky bat during the practice session. The video of the same was shared by the ICC via their official Instagram handle.
