Xara Jetly is an upcoming bright talent from Wellington, New Zealand. The 21-year-old is a right-arm off-spinner who has recently gone famous on Instagram and has been gaining followers at the rate of knots.

Born in August 2001 in Wellington, Jetly is a right-arm off-spinner and a right-handed batter who has represented the Wellington Women and Wellington Blaze team over the past three years in New Zealand’s domestic competitions. Her first taste of professional cricket was at the age of 16 as a specialist fielder.

She started her career in 2016/17 season for the Wellington Under-18s Women team and made into the Wellington Under-19s Women team in 2019/20. Astonishingly, Xara had already represented the Wellington Under-21s Women in 2017/18 and featured in the Women’s Under-21 Tournament. She made her Women’s List A debut in 2018/19 season and in T20 cricket the following season.

Jetly has featured in 34 List-A matches in which she’s picked up 37 wickets at an impressive average of 26 and strike rate of 36. The off-spinner has maintained a tidy economy of 4.45. Her best figures in List-A cricket are of 4/37.
Talking about the shortest format, Jetly has snapped up 29 wickets in 34 T20 matches at an admirable average of 14 and striking every 15.72 deliveries with a good economy of 5.6. The offie has taken two four-wicket hauls in the shortest format with – sensationally – the best bowling figures of 4/1.
