Former Indian all-rounder and world cup hero Yuvraj Singh and former England batsman Kevin Pietersen share a great camaraderie and time and again engaged in hilarious banter have reflected their bromance on social media platforms.  Recently, the duo was at it again as they left everyone in splits.

On June 27, as Kevin Pietersen celebrated his 40th birthday, social media was flooded with amazing birthday wishes from his fans and colleagues. From posting heartfelt tributes to videos for KP, fans ensured to make KP’s birthday even more special for him.

Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh also took to his social media and wrote a hilarious birthday wish for KP. In his tweet, Yuvi once again made a reference to ‘pie chucker’ once again. Yuvi wrote:

“@KP24 my friend it’s your birthday ? wish I was there to chuck pies ? at you and smash your face with them! Have a wonderful day and year ahead buddy! More power to you ??”

The tweet soon caught the attention of KP and he was quick to come up with a reply to the funny birthday wish of Yuvraj Singh. Replying to Yuvraj, KP wrote:

“Hahaha! Hopefully soon bro!”

Well, for the unversed, the ‘pie chucker’ thing started, during a Test series in India in 2008, KP had stirred a storm when he called Yuvraj Singh a ‘pie-chucker’ after getting dismissed to the left-arm pacer. Not just this, KP even went on to say that Yuvraj had bowled ‘left-arm filth’. He had said:

“When the ball is swinging and seaming and you’ve got a guy like Zaheer Khan, who is one of the best bowlers I’ve ever faced, not bowling at you and you’ve got a pie-chucker like Yuvraj Singh bowling at you I really don’t mind. When you get left-arm filth like that it makes you feel really good,”

Yuvraj Singh didn’t hold back as he responded to KP’s remarks by saying that he liked the name given to him. He replied:

“It shows KP hates getting out to me and if a useless bowler is getting him out five times then I would say that is quite useless batting,”
