Yuvraj Singh is one of the most loved and respected cricketers in India. Over the years, he has played spectacular cricket for India and earned the love and respect of his fans with his bat and never-say-die attitude.

But, the big swashbuckling all-rounder from Punjab hasn’t been at his best in the last couple of ODI series for India, including the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 in England. Yuvraj Singh scored 105 runs in Champions Trophy and just 57 runs in the ODI series against West Indies, in West Indies.

When the squad for the ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka was announced and Yuvraj Singh wasn’t picked, many fans and pundits thought that the selectors have decided to move on and it would be once again very difficult for him to make a comeback.

But, MSK Prasad, Chairman of India’s National Cricket Selection Committee, clarified that Yuvraj Singh hasn’t been dropped from the squad and he is rested. MSK Prasad said that the board wants to try different players and combination and this is why Yuvraj Singh was rested.

Now, it will be resting to see how selectors will manage of the young guns, who are part of the squad for the ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka do well.
