The former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh is regarded as one of the greatest cricketers to have played the game. Talking about his IPL career, there was a time when Yuvraj Singh would chunk out big bucks at the IPL auction. He was one of the most expensive buys in the history of the Indian Premier League.
In the year 2014, Yuvraj Singh was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 14 crore. This was the highest IPL bid in the history of IPL at that time. However, he was released after one year. But in the next year, he was bought in by Delhi Daredevils for INR 16 crore, making a new record. He was always in demand.

However, one thing that was missing from his IPL career was the fact that unlike other cricketers like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma, he never had was a long stint with one franchise. During his IPL career, he kept switching from one franchise to another.
Recently, during an interview with TimesNow, Yuvraj Singh opened up about the same. He expressed his disappointment of not playing for a single franchise for more than a few years. He said:
“I never got a chance to play for 3-4 years for one franchise team. Virat (Kohli), (MS) Dhoni, Rohit (Sharma) have played for the same franchise team for many years. You get a base but I have never been able to get a permanent place”

Furthermore, Yuvraj Singh talked about his time as a skipper of the Kings XI Punjab. He expressed that he felt like running away from the franchise. He said:
“There was a place from where I wanted to run away, it was Kings XI Punjab. Whenever I asked for a player, they did not give it to me. It is also amazing that when I left, they bought all those players. I was just the captain on the team for the sake of it. I loved playing for Punjab but I wanted to run away from that franchise”
