As the Mumbai Indians turned up to lock horns against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday, a long wait for Arjun Tendulkar came to an end as the youngster finally made his much-awaited debut in the Indian Premier League.
Arjun Tendulkar finally made his IPL debut

As the game started, it was revealed that captain Rohit Sharma couldn’t be a part of the playing XI due to a stomach bug. While his absence gave a chance to Suryakumar Yadav to lead the team for the first time, it also paved the way for uncapped Indian all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar to make his IPL debut.
Arjun first joined the Mumbai Indians, the only franchise his father and batting legend Sachin Tendulkar ever played for, ahead of the IPL 2021. He was bought for INR 20 lakhs. A year later, in the IPL 2022 mega-auction, Arjun had attracted Gujarat Titans too having raised the paddle before he eventually return to MI for a price of INR 30 lakhs.
However, in his two years with the franchise, Arjun couldn’t make his debut. It was against a clash against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2023 that Arjun Tendulkar finally got an opportunity to make his debut, joining the MI players in the playing XI for the first time ever.
Yuvraj Singh wrote a beautiful message for Arjun
