The Men in Blue registered their first win of the ongoing 2020-2021 clash with the Australian cricket team by defeating them in the third and last ODI match in Canberra. It was a great day for the young Indian cricketer Shubman Gill, who played for India after a long time. Shubman Gill played an impressive cameo with the bat and smashed a 39-ball 33 as he formed a 56 run partnership with the Indian skipper.

After team India won the third ODI, several cricketers took to their social media and expressed their happiness via their social media. Shubman Gill also joined the bandwagon and shared two pictures of himself from the game.

The first image from the series was a still of Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli’s 56-runs stand, whereas in the second picture, Gill can be seen standing with his teammates waiting for the umpire’s decision.

Sharing the picture, Shubman wrote:

“Great feeling representing my country ??”

The Instagram post was soon flooded with amazing reactions from the netizens on this. Among many, former Indian cricketer and world cup hero, Yuvraj Singh also took to his Twitter and lauded Shubman Gill for his amazing partnership with the Indian skipper. However, he also took a dig at Shubman Gill by reminding him that he is playing for India and not for a club match. He wrote:

“Indeed a pleasure batting alongside the great Virat Kohli! Maharaj jeb vicho hath kado India da match chal reha hai club da nahi. (Sir, please remove the hands from your pocket. You are playing for India, not for any local club).”
