Senior India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has named three big batsmen he’d like to pick in his dream hat-trick. The 31-year-old said that he’d love to dismiss Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and AB de Villiers in his fantasy hat-trick.

Kohli and Sharma are active cricketers with the latter taking over the captaincy reins from the former. The South African, though, retired from IPL cricket last year and from international cricket four years ago.

Speaking with ESPNCricinfo, when asked which batters would constitute his dream hat-trick, Chahal said: “One would be Virat Bhaiya, Rohit Bhaiya, and then I will go with AB Sir if he is playing then definitely him.”

Playing for Rajasthan Royals, Yuzvendra Chahal recently took his maiden IPL hat-trick, en route to a five-wicket haul, against the Kolkata Knight Riders. In his hat-trick vs KKR, he dismissed KKR captain Shreyas Iyer and tailenders Shivam Mavi, and Pat Cummins to take RR to a sensational victory.

Chahal celebrated his hat-trick in his now-famous stylish meme pose, sliding down on the ground and putting one hand over his hand while laying flat on the ground. This pose first became a meme a couple of years ago.

When asked if he was planning on coming up with a new celebration for a hat-trick or fifer in the upcoming matches, he added: “No, I’ll continue with the one I am doing right now. Because that meme is very close to me. I won’t slide. The meme is of me in a relaxed pose. So I’ll just go and relax and sit.”

The 31-year-old is enjoying his time bowling in the IPL 2022 and is the current Purple Cap holder having taken 24 wickets, including a five-wicket haul vs KKR that also included a hat-trick, in 13 games at an average of 16.

Rajasthan Royals have all but sealed their playoff spot with 16 points in 13 matches. Now, they will be aiming to get a top-two spot in their last league game, against Chennai Super Kings on May 20.
