Indian leg-spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal is regarded as one of the best bowlers around the world. Over all these years, with his dedication and impeccable bowling skills, he has become the favorite of many out there. With no cricket happening, Chahal has been spending a lot of his time on social media, interacting with cricketers and his fans.

Recently, Yuzvendra Chahal went live on a show on BCCI.tv with his friend and teammate Kuldeep Yadav and Mayank Agarwal. During the chat show, both the cricketers recalled some of their best performances at the international level.

While Mayank Agarwal reminded Kuldeep Yadav of his hat-trick against the West Indies, on the other hand, Yuzvendra Chahal recalled an amazing incident involving him and MS Dhoni, which helped him get the better of explosive cricketer Glenn Maxwell.

Well, this incident took place when Australia toured India for a five-match One-day International and three-match Twenty20 International series in 2017. During that series, Chahal dismissed Maxwell thrice in the ODI format and once during the T20I series.

Recalling the incident, Yuzvendra said:

“Me and Mahi bhai had planned to bowl him wide of off stump. I thought he will come down the track and that is why I threw the ball much wider and got the wicket,”

Chahal further added that during that series, Glenn Maxwell had opted for an attacking approach and as soon as Chahal came to bowl, he started smashing big shots from the beginning itself. Recalling the words of MS Dhoni, that helped him take the wicket of Chahal. He said:

“He was impatient in that series and used to attack me as soon as I came into bowl. I had a chat with Mahi bhai on how to tackle this. He replied we’ll mix it up and won’t show him the wide delivery. So that when I bowl the ball outside off stump, it should be a wicket-taking delivery,”
