Yuzvendra Chahal Wrote An Emotional Post For Andrew Symonds

India’s sensational spinner Yuzvendra Chahal paid tribute to former team-mate and Australian’s legendary player Andrew Symonds, who tragically passed away at the age of 46 following a car crash on Saturday night.

Symonds, a two-time World Cup winner with Australia, passed away after succumbing to the injuries he sustained when his car rolled off the side of the road. Though medical professionals who were present on-scene tried to revive Symonds, but he couldn’t survive.

As per the police statement, the car Symonds was driving left the road and rolled. Police confirmed that emergency services attempted to revive the driver and sole occupant, however, he couldn’t survive.

“Early information indicates, shortly after 11pm the car was being driven on Hervey Range Road, near Alice River Bridge when it left the roadway and rolled. Emergency services attempted to revive the 46-year-old driver and sole occupant, however, he died of his injuries. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating” the police statement confirmed.

Meanwhile, fans and cricketers across the world are left in deep shock after the untimely death of the legendary player. Yuzvendra Chahal, who shared a deep bond with Symonds also took to his Twitter and penned an emotional post for the Australian cricketer.

For the unversed, Chahal and Symonds were team-mates at Mumbai Indians during the 2011 edition of the Indian Premier League, which was also Symonds’ last IPL season. Symonds and Chahal shared a great bond of friendship with each other. Time and again, Chahal had expressed his love and admiration for his great friend.

In his Tweet, Chahal expressed the special connection he had with Symonds and wrote how he will miss him terribly. He wrote:

“I have lost my closest man. Will miss you terribly. You were just not a colleague. My family, my man. My Symonds uncle. I will miss you terribly. RIP,”
