A news is going viral on social media that Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar was preferred over Pranav Dhanawade while selecting West Zone’s U-16 team. A picture that went viral claims Arjun Tendulkar has been selected in the under-16 team despite the fact that in a game against north zone, he was clean bowled at 0 as well as in 12 overs, gave 52 runs. On the other hand, Pranav Dhanawade, who was in limelight lately for making record-breaking 1009 runs in a local game in just 323 balls isn’t selected in the team.

But here’s the other and true side of the story:

Arjun Tendulkar has been selected in the team for his performance in Payyade Trophy. Arjun Tendulkar scored a century along with taking 4 wickets in a match in Payyade Trophy, while Pranav Dhanawade didn’t play in the tournament and that’s why, he wasn’t selected. Thus, the story or message which is getting viral on social media is totally wrong.

In fact, when Prashant Dhanawade, father of Pranav, was asked about the message, he confirmed that it’s utterly wrong since selection of Arjun had been done earlier when his son not even made the amazing score.

We request our viewers to be a little more aware and careful while following such stories.
