10 Best Tweets India’s Emphatic Win Over Pakistan In Women’s World Cup 2022

India Women got off to a stellar start by defeating Pakistan in their opening game of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022. A dominant display from Mithali Raj and her squad completely outplayed Pakistan Women in this clash.

After suffering a batting collapse in the first innings, the Indian side staged a remarkable comeback as they got better of Pakistan by 107 runs at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui on March 6.

With this incredible win, the Women in Blue has kept their ODI World Cup record against the arch-rivals intact with a third straight win. On the other hand, Pakistan Women continue to remain winless in this format.

Batting first, the Indian cricket team posted a target of 244/7 on the scoreboard following which Pakistan were skittled out for just 137 runs. Chasing a target of 245 was always going to be a difficult task for the Pakistan Women, who never looked like getting over the line at any point in the chase.

The sensational pace duo of Jhulan Goswami and Meghna Singh kept things tight for the Indian team and once spinners came into the attack, the Pakistan Women hardly got any chance to make a comeback. While Jhulan Goswami was brilliant in her second spell where she grabbed a couple of wickets, however, it was Rajeshwari Gayakwad who stole the show with the ball. Rajeshwari Gayakwad led the way with a four-wicket haul and finished with the figures of 10-0-31-4.

A very well deserved Player of the Match award for @Vastrakarp25 for her brilliant knock of 67 off 59 deliveries.#TeamIndia #CWC22 #INDvPAK pic.twitter.com/vL0snwIjAu

Talking about the batting performance of Pakistan women, the openers got off to a sedate start and their innings never really got going. The Pakistan cricket team kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were put on the back foot. Captain Bismah Maroof and Sidra Ameen tried their best to steady the ship but the Indian Women never allowed them to get back in the game.

Meanwhile, social media has been buzzing with reactions from the overjoyed netizens. From cricketers, experts to fans, everyone took to Twitter and hailed the Women in Blue for their terrific performance.

WV Raman absolutely right when he says the Indian bowlers have not been challenged at all. Neat performance, but against a very unsure batting order.

Can imagine how much a Women’s PSL can help this country #INDvPAK #CWC22
