Before the match started, the Australian skipper, Aaron Finch opted to bat first after winning the toss. Chasing a total of 286 runs, the Indian cricket team kickstarted the game with a bang. Rohit Sharma had to open with KL Rahul as Shikhar Dhawan got ruled out of the action having injured his shoulder during the last match.
However, KL Rahul failed to make it big this time as he went back to pavilion after scoring 19 runs only. The skipper Virat Kohli alongside Rohit Sharma’s match-winning knocks helped India seal a comfortable victory.
Rohit Sharma scored 119 runs off 128 balls smashing 8 fours and 6 sixes. On the other hand, Virat Kohli once again gave a thrilling show with his bat. He scored 89 runs in 91 balls hitting, smashing 8 boundaries during the process.

Virat now has 11208 runs in 199 innings at a stunning average of 66.71 while on the other hand, MS Dhoni amassed 11207 runs in 330 innings.

Virat Kohli is in that phase of his career where he is getting unsettled after those 70s 80s, we all get disappointed even after those 70s 80s just because we expect a 100 from him everytime he walks in. The level he’s set for himself is just unmatchable! A true brand of cricket.
