Delhi Capitals’ young skipper Rishabh Pant left everyone in awe of him as he smashed his trademark one-handed sixes were on display. Rishabh Pant walked out to bat with all-guns-blazing and led his team from the front to guide them to a competitive total of 172 runs against Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings in the ongoing Qualifier 1 of IPL 2021.
Pant smashed an unbeaten half-century vs Chennai Super Kings in the Qualifier 1 after his team saw a mini-collapse in the middle overs.
Well, after being asked to bat first, Delhi Capitals’ young opener Prithvi Shaw gave a flying start to the team. Shaw raced to his fifty in just 27 balls, despite the duo of Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer falling cheaply.
Soon after his half-century Shaw was also dismissed for 60 and his dismissal brought the duo of Pant and Shimron Hetmyer in the middle. Both the players joined hands and played with a lot of maturities to get their team back on track and post a competitive target.
Rishabh Pant’s knock was more like a treat to the eyes as he brought a vicious attack in the death overs. He even delighted the fans with his trademark single-handed shots, which produced a maximum impact. The first shot came in the 16th over, when he hammered a full-toss off Shardul Thakur over mid-wicket with a one-handed swing of the bat.
Later, in the penultimate over of DC’s innings, Pant smashed a full delivery from Dwayne Bravo straight over his head and the trademark shot was repeated again with one hand coming off the handle. The videos of the stunning shots have been going viral on the internet.
