Kolkata Knight Riders’ batsman Venkatesh Iyer has impressed everyone with his all-rounder performances, ever since he made his debut in the Indian Premier League. It won’t be wrong to say that he has been a big revelation for the 2-time champions.

He made his debut in the cash-rich tournament for Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing UAE leg with an impressive 41 not out to help his team defeat Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Ever since then, Iyer has played some crucial knocks for his team including a brilliant half-century in his second game for KKR. He also went on to score 18 and 14 runs in his following two innings, respectively. He also picked 2 crucial wickets in their previous game against the Delhi Capitals.

Now in the ongoing match against Punjab Kings, Venkatesh Iyer has once again managed to grab all the attention by scoring a stunning half-century, which is also his second IPL fifty. Iyer walked out to bat with guns blazing and without his helmet. Yes, fans were left surprised to see Iyer walking out to the crease without his helmet.

Iyer scored an amazing 49-ball 67 against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Dubai International Stadium on Friday. He walked out to bat after the early dismissal of Shubman Gill, courtesy a dreamy delivery from left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh. Iyer joined hands with Rahul Tripathi to lace a steady 72-run stand for the second wicket off 55 deliveries. His knock was laced with nine boundaries and a solitary six to score 67 runs off 49 balls, which is also his highest score so far.

Meanwhile, fans were left in awe of Iyer’s swagger as he walked out to bat without his helmet. Social media was soon flooded with amazing reactions from fans and cricket experts.
