It has been raining fours and sixes at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium! After a stunning maiden century from Chennai Super Kings’ young opener Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rajasthan Royals’ Yashasvi Jaiswal wreaked havoc at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
Well, in reply to Chennai Super Kings’ 189 in the first innings, RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal got his side to a flying start as he scored his maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) fifty off just 19 balls. This is also the second-fastest fifty by an uncapped player in the IPL, behind Ishan Kishan’s feat. Ishan had scored his maiden fifty off 17 balls against the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2018.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was struggling to convert his starts into big scores in the ongoing season of the IPL, walked out to bat with all guns blazing and took the game by storm from the first ball itself. He showed immense fighting skills and intent as he smashed the bowlers of Chennai Super Kings all around the park. He reached his maiden half-century in just 19 balls, however, he was dismissed only two balls after he reached the mark by KM Asif. His stunning knock was laced with 6 fours and 3 sixes.
All thanks to his brilliant start to the game, which turned out to be very crucial, Rajasthan Royals won the game by 7 wickets.
