Kaviya Maran, daughter of Sun Network owner Kalanithi Maran and co-owner of T20 League franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad, has become known as the “mystery girl” of the Indian Premier League (2023). She has become a favourite among SRH fans in India thanks to her ardent advocacy. Kaviya was spotted in the stands at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad during the opening match of the Indian Premier League 2023, which Rajasthan Royals (RR) won.
During the SA20, a South African cricket fan approached Kaviya with a “marriage proposal” while she was playing for the Sunrisers Eastern Cape against the Paarl Royals at the Boland Park ground in Paarl. The supporter was carrying a sign that read “KAVYA MARAN, WILL YOU MARRY ME?” alongside a heart emoji.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals‘ match against Sunrisers Hyderabad got off to a rousing start thanks in large part to English opener Jos Buttler. In IPL 2023, Buttler broke the record for the fastest fifty by doing so in just 20 deliveries. He batted at a strike rate of 245.45 and hit 7 fours and 3 sixes, which put a lot of pressure on the Sunrisers’ bowlers.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, an opening partner for Buttler, helped him dominate the Sunrisers’ bowling. The 85 runs scored by Rajasthan Royals in the first six overs is their highest powerplay total in IPL history. Buttler’s excellent form from IPL 2022, when he scored the most runs and was awarded the Orange Cap, carried over to this match.
Buttler’s half century was cut short when he was run out on the very next ball, but his contribution to the team’s final score was substantial. He helped the Rajasthan Royals build a solid foundation for their innings by batting aggressively against Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Washington Sundar, T Natarajan, and Fazalhaq Farooqi.
