The Virat Kohli led side has shown some amazing cricketing skills in the ongoing series so far, and as a result, they are enjoying the lead of 1-0. The Indian side will be looking forward to continuing with their red-hot form to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

Surprisingly, as both the captains walked out for the toss for the third Test match, the visiting captain, Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bat first, in what is supposed to be a difficult track for the batters.

For the unversed, Virat Kohli’s toss record hasn’t been so good. He has lost the toss more often than not. Time and Again, Virat Kohli has been left disappointed with his luck with the toss, and when it comes to playing in England, his luck with the toss is even worse, however, not this time.

It was England’s skipper Joe Root, who flipped the coin and Virat won the toss and elected to bat first. Virat Kohli was himself left surprised as he won the toss. Reacting on the same, Virat said:

Meanwhile, during the toss, Virat also talked about changes in the playing XI. He said:

“We’re going in with the same XI. We thought about getting Ashwin in, and the pressure of the extra seamer in these conditions is crucial. Jadeja will bowl a lot more overs because the conditions are suited to him. You can lay down markers and a culture, but it’s upto the boys to take it up and win from pressure situations.

“It’s all about handling pressure at the highest level. It’s the toughest place to bat for the openers, and KL and Rohit have done a good job. Hopefully they can continue. About my batting, I’ll try to make an impact for the team with the bat. I believe in my process and sometimes it doesn’t really come off on the field, but I’m more concerned about how much of an impact I have on the team’s performance,”
