The Indian skipper Virat Kohli is celebrating his 33rd birthday today. Today, being his special day, even the coin obeyed Kohli’s command and the Indian skipper decided to field first in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021 fixture between India and Scotland.

Virat Kohli’s toss record hasn’t been so good. He has lost the toss more often than not. Time and Again, Virat Kohli has been left disappointed with his luck with the toss. Infact, thi is the first time in 4 attempts that Virat has managed to get the call right at the toss

Even Kohli was left surprised with this ‘rare moment’ and admitted that he has won his first toss on his birthday. He even joked that India should have played their first match of the ongoing tournament on his birthday. He said:

“We are going to bowl first. Dew is going to be a big factor. Try and restrict them and chase it down. Winning my first toss on my birthday, probably we should have played the first game on my birthday. The intensity from ball one is important. For us, it’s just about keeping that intensity on for 20 overs. That’s something we expect from people. Shardul makes way for Varun – third spinner,”
