Earlier in the day, RR got off to a sensational start thanks to some amazing performance from Evin Lewis upfront. He scored 36 runs off 21 balls, hitting seven fours and a six. Lewis and Sanju Samson departed in quick succession before Yashasvi Jaiswal also made small cameos.

However, thanks to some sensational death bowling from Mohammad Shami and Arshdeep Singh, the Royals ended 15 runs short. Later, Punjab Kings’ openers Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul gave a flying start to their team. They formed a formidable partnership of 120-runs in 11.5 overs.

Everyone had already started celebrating Punjab Kings’ victory and there was no way that Rajasthan Royals would have stolen it, however, Rajasthan Royals’ Kartik Tyagi stole the show with his brilliant last over and won the match for his team.
