India has already lost the series having lost both at Cape Town and The Centurion. Today when the third test starts at Johannesburg, India would be playing to save its grace and prove to the world why they are the number one test team in the world.

Virat Kohli has been under heavy scrutiny for his selection of the playing XI. He’s been slammed for making Ajinkya Rahane sit out and also for having dropped Bhuvneshwar Kumar from the playing XI in the Centurion Test. 2 Changes Confirmed As per reports team India will be making two changes to the playing XI.

Ajinkya Rahane and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are confirmed to play the third test which begins soon at Johannesburg. Ajinkya Rahane will play either at the cost of Rohit Sharma or the all rounder Hardik Pandya. Finally, the team would play with its vice captain and this seems like a welcome change.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar who is the most certain to return to the playing XI and he would play at the cost of Ravichandran Ashwin. The pitch at Johannesburg is a green track and it has very little assistance to offer to the spinners. Ravindra Jadeja who happens to be in the top 5 bowlers of the ICC test rankings will be returning to India without getting a single game.

In South Africa while playing one spinner, Virat Kohli has preferred Ravi Chandran Ashwin over him. This test series will be followed by an ODI series of 6 matches followed by the T20 series. India having lost the test series would look to bounce back in the ODI series and the T20 series to settle the odds with the Proteas.
