An opening batsman and a medium pacer, Arshin Kulkarni scored 174 runs in his first five outings in the Under 19 World Cup with the help of one century against the USA. He has also snapped four wickets in the tournament so far.
Arshin Kulkarni’s idol is South African legendary all-rounder Jacques Kallis, and he got to meet his hero ahead of the Under 19 World Cup in South Africa.
Former Maharashtra batsman Nikhil Paradkar, who coached Kulkarni in Pune, told ESPNcricinfo that there is “some uniqueness about him purely from the manner in which he batted and hit long he could bat trusting those methods. He could clear boundaries easily”.

Hyderabad’s wicketkeeper Aravelly Avinash Rao was bought by the Chennai Super Kings for his base price of INR 20 lakh in the IPL 2024 auction and will be part of the squad under MS Dhoni. Aravelly Avinash made his senior List-A debut for Hyderabad last year in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and featured in a couple of games.
