The Chennai Super Kings have been blessed with the wicket-keeping section having the iconic MS Dhoni in their side since the beginning. After 13 years of their IPL journey, Dhoni has delivered 4 titles and a number of great memories for the fans of men in Yellow. It is only a matter of time now before Dhoni takes off his boots from the game. With the 2023 IPL Auction coming up next month, It is a major time for the franchise to purchase a replacement of Dhoni, which is really a huge boot to fill.

Here we will look at some options of wicket-keepers who can be CSK’s target in the upcoming auction to replace Captain Cool for good-
Josh Inglis
The England-born Australian cricketer is an exciting cricketer to watch when it comes to T20 cricket. Inglis currently plays for Perth Scorchers in BBL. In the season 2020-21, Inglis scored 413 runs with a strike rate of 140. He is terrific with gloves as well. However this year he went unsold, but in the mini auction, Inglis can be a vital buy for CSK.
Matthew Wade
We all know what Wade can do with the bat in a T20 game. Wade is a first-choice wicketkeeper-batsman for Australia. This year, he has not had the best of seasons with Gujarat Lions but ended up winning the trophy. It is not confirmed whether GL will keep Wade or not. But if he is available CSK can get his signature. The yellow army will definitely want another experienced cricketer in their side and Wade could be a great purchase.
Glenn Phillips
CSK has some issues in their middle-order batting, and adding Glenn Phillips to the team can certainly solve that problem. Phillips is a match-winner and a key player for New Zealand. He has got a raging strike rate of 149.7 which makes him more eye-catching.
