5 Australian Cricketers Who Have Won ODI World Cup, T20 World Cup And WTC Final

ICC T20 World Cup, ODI Cricket World Cup, and World Test Championship are the three biggest competitions in the cricket world at the moment. While the ODI World Cup is the oldest tournament in history, having been introduced back in 1975, the T20 World Cup was introduced in the year 2007 and the World Test Championship was launched in 2019.

Only five players in cricket history have won all three tournaments and surprisingly all five players are from the same team – Australia.

Here, in this article, we bring you 5 Australian cricketers who have won ODI World Cup, T20 World Cup as well as WTC Trophies. Have a look:

1. Pat Cummins:

Pat Cummins won the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup and 2021 ICC T20 World Cup as a player. He led the Australian cricket team to WTC 2023 final win as a captain. Interestingly, he wasn’t included in the playing XI of the 2015 ODI World Cup final. However, he played a crucial role in WTC 2023 final win, picking a total of four wickets (3+!) in the WTC 2023 Final.

Overall, Pat Cummins bagged 57 wickets in 16 matches of the WTC 2021-23 cycle. In the 2021 T20 WC, he bagged five wickets in seven matches. In the 2015 Cricket WC, he took five wickets in two games.

2. David Warner:

David Warner amassed 345 runs in eight innings at the 2015 Cricket WC. He won the Player of the Tournament award at the 2021 T20 WC, amassing 289 runs in seven innings at a strike rate of almost 150.

He also played a crucial role in the WTC 2021-2023 cycle, having scored 891 runs, with his highest score being 200. He played a crucial knock of 43 runs in the WTC 2023 final against team India.

3. Steve Smith:

The modern-day batting legend, Steve Smith scored 402 runs in eight matches at the 2015 Cricket WC, however, he scored just 69 runs in seven games of the 2021 T20 WC.

He played an instrumental role in the WTC 2021-23 cycle by bringing his ‘A’ game, scoring 2,947 runs in 20 Tests. Smith also smashed an amazing century in the WTC Final 2023.

4. Mitchell Starc:

Mitchell Starc was adjudged the Man of the Tournament in the 2015 Cricket WC. Starc announced his arrival in a blockbuster way by picking 22 wickets in just 8 games, including a six-wicket haul against New Zealand.

He picked up nine wickets in seven matches at the 2021 T20 WC. In the WTC 2021-2023 cycle, Starc scalped 55 wickets in 17 Tests.

5. Josh Hazlewood:

Josh Hazlewood was the hero for the Australian cricket team in the 2021 T20 WC, where he picked up 11 wickets in seven matches at an economy of 7.29. He picked up seven wickets in five matches in the 2015 WC.

However, he played only four Tests during the WTC 2021-23 cycle, picking up 10 wickets.
