Delhi’s young batsman Rishabh Pant has been making headlines for all the good reasons. In November 2016, Pant caught many eyeballs in India when he slammed the fastest century by an Indian in first class cricket during a Ranji Trophy match against Jharkhand at Thumba. Rishabh Pant was a star performer for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy 2016-17 season. Pant fastest century off just 48 balls is one of the highlights of the season in Ranji Trophy 2016-17.

1.  Rishabh Pant was born in Uttarakhand, but moved to Delhi with his parents at the age of 12 to train under Tarak Sinha, who is known to have mentored Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan.

2. Rishabh Pant became the fourth youngest batsman to score a triple century in first class cricket Pant scores 308 runs off 326 balls against Maharashtra in Ranji Trophy.

3. Rishabh Pant idolises Adam Gilchrist and this is why he became an aggressive wicketkeeper-batsman like him.

4. Rishabh Pant smashed 21 sixes in the match in which he scored the fastest first-class century which is the second-most number of sixes in a first-class match.

5. Rishabh Pant was bought by Delhi Daredevils in Indian Premier League (IPL) for Rs 1.9 crore and scored 198 runs for them in 10 matches at an average of 24.75 and a strike rate of 130.26.
