The ICC T20 World Cup is the most prestigious T20 tournament on the planet where teams and players from all over the world test their skills against the best. West Indies have been the most successful team in the tourney’s history as they are the only nation to win the trophy twice. India won the inaugural edition, while Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and England have won one tournament.
The most important aspect of a T20 game is big-hitting and perfect bowling. A team can only win a T20 match if its batting and bowling unit work as a cohesive unit. However, the job for the bowlers becomes extremely easy if the batsmen score a lot of runs through their big shots. Earlier, India did not have the batsmen who could strike big from ball one.
But, because of the IPL, that problem no longer exists as we here have a look at the 5 Indian batsmen with the most sixes in a single inning of T20 World Cup.
Yuvraj Singh – 4 sixes

At number 5 is the Punjabi all-rounder Yuvraj Singh. The left-handed batsman features multiple times on this list, and to attain the fifth position, Yuvraj had smacked four sixes against Bangladesh in the 2009 T20 World Cup. He played a knock of 18-ball 41 in that game and helped India win.
Suresh Raina – 5 sixes

The only Indian batsman to hit a century in T20 World Cup history, Suresh Raina, achieved the distinction of hitting five sixes in a T20 World Cup inning against South Africa during his knock of 101 runs in 2010. Raina hit nine fours and five maximums to guide India to a 14-run victory in that group stage encounter.

Every Indian fan remembers Yuvraj Singh’s epic knock of 70 runs against Australia in the ICC T20 World Cup 2007 semifinal. The left-handed batsman whacked five fours and five sixes that night to power the Men in Blue to the finale of the competition.
Rohit Sharma – 6 sixes

The only entry on this list to have ended in a losing cause is Rohit Sharma’s six sixes against Australia in the 2010 T20 World Cup. Very few fans would be able to recollect that a young Rohit dismantled Australia at Bridgetown ten years ago. Sharma played an innings of 79*. Still, India fell short by 49 runs in their pursuit of a 185-runs target.
Yuvraj Singh – 7 sixes

India and England clashed in the Super Eights stage of the ICC T20 World Cup in 2007. Yuvraj Singh hit six sixes in an over off Stuart Broad to record a 12-ball fifty. He added one more six to his account before returning to the pavilion as the cricket universe witnessed one of the most special innings from Yuvraj in South Africa.
