IPL 2021: We are all aware of the fact how the Indian Premier League has played a crucial role in shaping up the fortunes of countless Indian talents who later grabbed the limelight for all the right reasons.
As IPL 2021 is almost upon us, the Indian fans can barely contain their excitement. After a sudden halt to the tournament due to a Covid scare in April, the fray was finally slated to happen in September in the small pocket of space that BCCI managed to wriggle free between India and England series and the T20 World Cup.
This T20 World Cup will stay witness to the emergence of quite a few young talents who emerged from the domestic extravaganza in T20 cricket. Spanning from Suryakumar Yadav to Ishan Kishan, the Indian fans will be given an exciting brand of cricket to cheer for.
Getting back to IPL and its scouting of youngsters, we will look at five cricketers who can be the emerging cricketers in IPL 2021.

The young man has impressed heavily for Rajasthan Royals. His medium-pace has troubled the other batters of the tournament and his knack for wickets has proved him to be deadly. He has been a part of seven matches until now from which he has bagged 7 wickets and bowled at an economy rate of 8.20. He has been brilliant in death overs and his flamboyant consistency in maintaining the tight lines are a few of his virtues that have already made the selectors take notice.
#2 Harpreet Brar

This young man hailing all the way from Punjab was almost on the brink of leaving the country when an opportunity came knocking. After years of rejection, he finally made the cut in 2019 though he was not given ample opportunities. It took him a while to firmly establish himself in the eyes of his franchise. In 2020, he sent the Punjab fans roaring in his second game where he snapped up quick runs at the end of the innings and claimed three crucial wickets that comprised the likes of Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and ABD. Given the strong statement that he made in that game, it won’t be surprising if he bags the Emerging Player of the Tournament award.
#3 Ravi Bishnoi
Bishnoi was the find of the season in 2020 as his leg-spin troubled quite a lot of big hitters of the tournament. Bishnoi’s slow bowling through the air makes him a tough bowler to crack. He claimed 12 wickets from 14 games in the preceding edition of the tournament at an economy rate of 7.37. He has just been a part of four games so far in 2021 but he has already bagged two braces to leave a significant impression.
#4 Abdul Samad
It is a hard choice at the moment to call him a contender for the award but the young batsman has already shown his class in the preceding edition of the tournament. He managed to garner 111 runs in 2020 at a blazing strike rate of 170. In the ongoing edition, he hasn’t really batted much but his strike rate still remains 138 plus. He can be a significant moniker when it comes to the race of emerging players.
#5 Lalit Yadav
After impressive performances in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Harare Trophy, Delhi Capitals came knocking to hire his services. He has shown some decent performances both with the bat and the ball. From the 5 matches that he has played so far in the tournament that has seen him garnering 54 runs and claim 3 wickets. If he continues with his brilliant displays, he can very well be the emerging player of the tournament.
