The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a platform for young and established cricketers across the world, to show their talent and earn the love and respect of millions of fans in India and throughout the world.

Over the years, we have seen many young cricketers use the power of the Indian Premier League to a great effect and establish them at the highest level of the game, by catching eye-balls for their good performances in the tournament.

However, in the past, there have been some very talented cricketers who have been ignored by their respective franchises. In this post, we will have named some talented players who never played a single match for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians.

1) Subramaniam Badrinath

Most of you known Subramaniam Badrinath only as a Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player, but in 2015, he was picked by Royal Challengers Bangalore, but he couldn’t find a place in the playing XI throughout the season. IPL 2015 also turned out to be his last season and unfortunately for him and his fans, Badrinath did not even play a single match in his last season.

2) Axar Patel

Axar Patel was retained by Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2018 auctions and this proves that the young lad has made a name for himself. Patel is a very talented left-arm orthodox bowler who can also bat a bit lower down the order. However, in 2013, he was picked by Mumbai Indians and didn’t get to play a single match all throughout the season.

3) Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is, arguably, the best fast bowler in India, across all three formats of the game. Presently, he is spearhead of Sunrisers Hyderabad’s bowling attack but way back in 2009 and 2010, he was a part of RCB’s squad but he did not get to play even a single match in both the seasons.

4) Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep Yadav is the first ever Chinaman spinner to play international cricket for India. He is a very talented young cricketer who has been playing IPL for KKR from the past many years. However, in 2012, Kuldeep was picked by Mumbai Indians but he didn’t get to play even a single game for them. In IPL 2012, Pragyan Ojha was doing the job for Mumbai Indians as a left-arm spinner and this is why Yadav was ignored by Mumbai Indians throughout the season.

5) Steve Smith

Steve Smith, before getting involved in the unfortunate ball-tampering incident, was regarded as one of the best batters in the world across all three formats of the game.
