India had batted first and put on 170 runs on the board and England wasn’t quite keeping up to the required run rate for the first 7 overs.
MS Dhoni, who was the captain of the Indian cricket team at that time threw the ball to Virat Kohli to lure the England batsmen to try and play aggressive shots against the part-time bowler and team India can grab the wicket-taking opportunity in the process and this is exactly what happened and the victim became Kevin Pietersen.

During the India-West Indies ODI match in Vizag in 2018, Virat Kohli surpassed 10,000 ODI runs in only 205th innings and became the fastest to get there.
