The Indian Premier League is one of the most loved and popular leagues in the world. Over the years, the league has given us many amazing moments to the cricket fans. However, there have been some heartbreaking moments as well.
There have been moments when our favorite cricketers were not able to hold back their emotions and ended up crying in front of the audience. Amidst all the cheers and razmataz of IPL, several cricketers have shed tears and made everyone emotional.

1. Andrew Tye breaking down amidst the interview:

It happened during the match between Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab in the year 2018, when Andrew Tye put a strong spell and took four wickets and won the Purple Cap. After winning the purple cap, in an interview, Andrew Tye dedicated the Purple Cap to his late grandmother and cried amidst the interview.
2. Kuldeep Yadav after giving away an expensive bowling spell:

Well, it’s very difficult for any bowler to control his emotions after he has been smashed by the batter to all the corners of the ground. In 2019, Kolkata Knight Riders Kuldeep Yadav went through the same when he was smashed by Royal Challengers Bangalore’s batsman Moin Ali fiercely. After giving away an expensive bowling spell, Kuldeep Yadav couldn’t hold back his emotions and cried. Kuldeep gave away 59 runs during his spell of 4 overs.
3. S Sreesanth after his ugly spat with Harbhajan Singh:

No cricket fan can forget what happened between Harbhajan Singh and Sreesanth. The incident that took place during a match between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab, shook the entire cricketing fraternity and is still afresh in everyone’s minds. This incident is one of the ugliest controversies of the Indian Premier League.
This incident happened after Mumbai Indians were defeated by Kings XI Punjab, when Sreesanth tried to tease Harbhajan Singh. Though the footage of Harbhajan Singh slapping Sreesanth was never found, but on our tv screens, we all saw an angry Harbhajan Singh and an emotional Sreesanth.
Last year, Sreesanth finally opened up about the ugly spat and revealed that Harbhajan Singh never slapped him, he just tried to hit him with the back of his hand. He also revealed that he cried because of his helpless state of mind.
4. Sachin Baby crying after the defeat in IPL final:

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Sachin Baby couldn’t hold back his emotions after the team’s defeat by the hands of Sun Risers Hyderabad in the year 2016 IPL final. During the match, RCB only needed 18 runs to win in the last over, but an amazing spell from Bhuvneshwar Kumar shattered the dreams of Virat Kohli led side.
5. Ambati Rayudu crying after getting run-out:

Ambati Rayudu, who was playing for his team Mumbai Indians during IPL 2014, couldn’t hold back his tears after he was dismissed in a match against Rajasthan Royals. Mumbai Indians was chasing a target of 189 runs in this match and Ambati Rayudu could only score 30 runs in 10 balls. He was dismissed with a run-out after which he couldn’t hold back his tears. Mumbai Indians eventually clinched the encounter with 32 deliveries to spare and by five wickets.
