However, he became the ninth wicket to fall in the innings and team India was eventually bowled out for 244 and lost the match by only 16 runs and the efforts of Team India went in vain.

4) 138 vs Australia at Melbourne in 2015:

It happened before the 2015 World Cup when India toured Australia, during the second match of the tri-series between India, Australia, and England.

The match turned out to be a one-man show. Opening the innings for Team India, Rohit Sharma scored a total of 138 runs off 139 balls, with the help of 9 fours and 4 sixes. Despite his amazing performance, the Indian cricket team lost the match by 4 wickets.

3) 106 vs South Africa at Dharamsala in 2015:

This happened during the first T20 of the long tour to South Africa when Rohit Sharma smashed his first T20 international century and became the second Indian to have scored centuries in all the formats of the game.
