The 2019 World Cup is going to be one event where the whole world will see the best players step up. Some of the youngsters playing now will be at their peaks and could make a statement. Here are 5 players to look forward to next World Cup:
Hardik Pandya:
The Mumbai Indians batsman has had a stellar year and a half, going on to establish himself as one of the mainstays of the Indian team. He is a tremendous hitter of the ball and an excellent fielder in addition to being a useful bowler.
Pandya will be around 28 when the next World Cup is around and he could show the best of his ability. If Pandya can play to the fullest of his potential, there is no doubt that he could bring the cup back.
Kagiso Rabada:
Now a frontline bowler of the South African team, Rabada will be in his prime for the World Cup. The pacer is a big talent who has the ability to pick up wickets at any moment. Rabada does have a temper but he should be able to control it.
South Africa will mostly be without the services of Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel for the World Cup due to age and Rabada will be the main strike bowler at the time.
Hasan Ali:
If Pakistan are to win the World Cup, Hasan Ali’s form will be crucial. One of the newest stars of the team that won the Champions Trophy, Hasan Ali is a great all-rounder who can be the backbone of the team.
Ali will be around 27 during the World Cup and if he continues this vein of form with the team that they have, Pakistan will be looking at a good chance of winning.
Ben Stokes:
Stokes is 25 and has his best years of cricket still ahead of him. He is a genuine all-rounder who has shown incredible talent to become one of the best in the world. Though Stokes has had moments where he has disappointed, he will be in prime condition for the Cup.
The English player has all the attributes – he is superb in the field, a good bowler and more than just a handy batsman. Stokes will be England’s biggest hope in 2019.
Pat Cummins:
The young Australian bowler comes from a long line of great pacers from Down Under. He will be their main bowler if he continues this form and can spearhead their attack. Cummins is also experienced enough and can continue this form.
He is a talented bowler who can hit the deck hard and pick up crucial wickets. With consistency, he should be able to improve and be a match-winner.
Fakhar Zaman
Pakistan’s young swashbuckling batsman Fakhar Zaman became a popular name among cricket fans after his thunderous innings in the final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017. Fakjhar is a very exciting young batsman who can play a big role for Pakistan in near future. He is gusty and very aggressive.
Evin Lewis
