Former India players Irfan Pathan and Harbhajan Singh teased the Pakistan fans with another dance following Afghanistan’s brilliant win over Sri Lanka in Pune.
Over the past few months, Irfan Pathan has been, sometimes directly and sometimes indirectly, teasing and taunting the Pakistani fans, either when Pakistan loses or when India and Afghanistan win.
Pathan had performed a dance with Rashid Khan in Chennai when Afghanistan defeated Pakistan. While Irfan enjoyed his dance and moment of celebration with Rashid, the Pakistani fans hounded him on social media.
Once again, Irfan Pathan, who has been a great admirer and supporter of the Afghanistan cricket team, took the internet on fire for dancing and celebrating Afghanistan’s impressive victory against Sri Lanka in Pune. This time, the fun was double for Pathan as legendary Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh, too, joined him in the dance at the Star Sports studio. The video of this event has gone viral on social media.

Wazhma Ayoubi, a Dubai-based Afghanistan fan, who is well-known on Twitter, thanked Irfan Pathan for his support to the Afghanistan team, and expressed the love and affection from the Afghanistan fans for him.
“You are an incredible Pathan! Your fan base among Afghans has skyrocketed to a whole new level. Respect,” Wazhma Ayoubi tweeted to Irfan.
Talking about the AFG vs SL match in Pune, Afghanistan dominated most parts of the match. Left-arm fast bowler Fazalhaq Farooqi was the Man of the Match for his terrific figures of 4/34 that restricted Sri Lanka to 241. In the chase, three batters – Rahmat Shah, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Hashmatullah Shahidi – scored half-centuries to take the side over the line by 7 wickets and 28 balls to spare.
Afghanistan had just one win – over Scotland – in the last two editions of the ODI World Cup. In the World Cup 2023, they have registered three wins – over three world champions: England, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka – and they remain alive in the semi-final race.
