South Africa captain Temba Bavuma had a funny moment while fielding during India’s innings on Sunday at the Eden Gardens.
When attempting a tight run-out of India opener Shubman Gill, Temba Bavuma put in a dive and knocked over the stumps, with his hand, intentionally! It’s a hilarious video that has gone viral on social media involving the Protea skipper Temba Bavuma.
With Shubman Gill attempting a quick single, Bavuma ran in, picked up the ball, and under-armed it at the stumps at the non-striker’s end whilst also put in a dive. Even as the ball didn’t hit the stumps and Shubman Gill just came into the crease, Temba Bavuma continued sliding, and eventually knocked over the stumps with his hand, deliberately, and very comically.
This video of the South African captain flicking the stumps while still sliding has gone viral and fans are having a laughter ride.
