The daughter of former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi, Ansha Afridi, recently married Pakistani bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi in a magnificent wedding in Karachi. Other players, such as Pakistan’s national team captain Babar Azam and wicketkeeper and batsman Mohammad Rizwan, were present for the event. In a recent interview, Shahid Afridi revealed why he chose Shaheen Afridi as his son-in-law. He revealed that the family of Shaheen Afridi has had conversations with Shahid Afridi’s for a long time. Afridi also remarked that he did not know Shaheen on a personal level, but the elder ones in their family used to maintain contact with each other.
Shahid Afridi Reveals Why He Chose Shaheen Afridi As His Son-In-Law

Shahid Afridi praised Shaheen and said that he got to know good things about Shaheen from the ones who were playing with him. He came to know that Shaheen is a good human being, and that is the most important thing for him. Shahid Afridi also praised Shaheen for his maturity level.
Shahid Afridi said: “Shaheen’s family was in touch with my family on this topic for a long time. A human should be a human, that is the most important thing. Shaheen is a great human. I didn’t know him personally, the elders of our family used to know one another, but we lost contact [with each other]. Whoever was playing domestic cricket with Shaheen praised his attitude and lauded him as a human being saying that he was very mature. So all those things were important for me that a human is a human.”
Shaheen Shah Afridi is currently leading the bowling attack for Pakistan in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India. India, South Africa, and Australia have already qualified for the semi-final. Pakistan, New Zealand, and Afghanistan battle it out for the fourth spot. If New Zealand gets beaten by Sri Lanka and Pakistan manages to beat England, then Pakistan will go through to the semi-finals. We could again see a re-match of India vs Pakistan.
