IND vs NZ: Watch Anushka Sharma’s Cute Reaction After Virat Kohli Given Not Out On DRS

A fold of hands, a deep sigh of relief, a clap, and then a heartfelt, cute smile. Anushka Sharma’s reaction upon Virat Kohli being given not out by the third umpire on the score of zero embodied the same emotions of all the Indian fans during the semi-final against New Zealand.

In a repeat of the previous editions’ semi-final in Manchester, India and New Zealand met for the World Cup 2023 semi-final on Wednesday at the Wankhede stadium.

After another rollicking start by Rohit Sharma, who smashed 47 runs in 29 balls, India got into a bit of a nervy moment of losing back-to-back wickets, those of their two senior-most batters, and their two best batters in the competition.

After Rohit Sharma got out in the 9th over to Tim Southee, having set a solid platform for Virat Kohli to take over, New Zealand went for a DRS on just the second ball that Kohli faced, and he was yet to open his account.

A length delivery from Tim Southee had rapped Virat Kohli on his back leg. The on-field umpire denied New Zealand’s appeal, and Kane Williamson took the DRS. There was no need to go to HawkEye as Ultraedge showed that Kohli had got a very faint inside edge which was enough to save him. Kohli got four runs for it and got off the mark.

After the third umpire rolled the not-out decision, the camera also captured the reaction of Kohli’s wife, Anushka Sharma, who was sitting in the stands at the Wankhede stadium. Kohli and Gill, too, shared a laugh.
