It has been raining sixes and fours at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Bangladesh. India’s young opening batter Ishan Kishan slammed his maiden hundred on Sunday against Bangladesh in the ongoing 3rd ODI match to put team India in the driving seat of the match. Ishan Kishan was added to the playing XI as a replacement for captain Rohit Sharma after the Indian captain was ruled out due to a thumb injury. The 24-year-old set the stage on fire as he walked out to bat with all-guns-blazing.
Ishan made the most of his opportunity as he smashed his maiden ODI hundred in just 85 balls as he helped the Indian side recover after the early wicket of Shikhar Dhawan along with Virat Kohli.
Virat Kohli and Ishan Kishan formed an amazing partnership and the duo put on a solid partnership of 137 runs (at the time of writing this article). The keeper-batter has so far smashed 14 boundaries and 2 sixes as team India is currently 152 for one in 23.1 overs.
Meanwhile, social media has been buzzing with reactions from fans and experts, who just can’t stop hailing the young batter for his terrific performance. Several cricketers and experts also joined the bandwagon and showered praise on Ishan Kishan for registering his maiden ODI century.

If Ishan Kishan scores a ton, will there be any guarantee that he’ll play the next game? Or be part of 2023 WC? Time to take some hard calls & give opportunities to performing players

The left-handed batter has crossed the 150-run mark and is inching towards a double ton in Chattogram. Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team will look to secure a solitary win in the ongoing 3-match series, having already lost the previous two matches against Bangladesh in Dhaka. Bangladesh, on the other hand, would be aiming for a complete series whitewash, having already taken an unassailable 2-0 lead.
India’s playing XI: Shikhar Dhawan, Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul(w/c), Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, Shahbaz Ahmed, Umran Malik, Rahul Tripathi, Rajat Patidar, Kuldeep Yadav
