It wasn’t a desired start to their broadcasting of India’s home match for Jio Cinema as the application and website got hanged and their servers were reportedly down during the India vs Australia first T20I on Thursday.
Just 3 days after India and Australia played in the World Cup 2023 final, both teams met each other again, though in a different format – T20I – and with mostly different players than the ones who featured in the final in Ahmedabad.
It also started a new era for broadcasters Jio Cinema for India’s home season. They had previously broadcasted the IPL 2023 with great success. However, during Australia’s innings in Visakhapatnam, for a few overs Jio Cinema couldn’t show the match and instead it showed to update the app – even on its website, as some users said.
This led to a massive trolling of Jio Cinema on Twitter.
Fans trolled Jio Cinema with funny memes as it got hanged during IND vs AUS T20I:

India’s interim skipper Suryakumar won the toss and elected to bowl first in Vizag in the 1st T20I against Australia.
Courtesy of a thunderous century from Josh Inglis and a half-century from Steve Smith, Australia racked up 208 runs in their 20 overs as the pitch got better for batting and the Indian bowlers bowled poor lengths. Inglish smashed 110 runs in 50 balls. In reply, India lost Jaiswal and Gaikwad early on but Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav recorded a giant partnership to keep the run-rate required in check.
