T20 World Cup 2022 Final: Imran Khan Shared A Special Message For Pakistan Ahead Of Final Match Against England

England and Pakistan are currently squaring it off in the final of the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup on Sunday (November 13). The title decider is taking place at the  Melbourne Cricket Ground, and it will be a repeat of the 1992 ODI World Cup final. In the 1992 World Cup final, which also took place at the same venue – MCG, Pakistan defeated England to lift the trophy. The Babar Azam-led side will be hoping to repeat the feat and win the second T20 World Cup title for their country.

Meanwhile, ahead of the big final clash between England and Pakistan, former Pakistani captain Imran Khan, who led the Men in Green to a World Cup win in 1992, shared a special message for Babar Azam and co. The former all-rounder took to his social media and wrote:

Pakistan Can Still Qualify For T20 World Cup 2022 Semifinals With Help Of Team India Pak Team T20 WC 2022 Semifinal Equations | T20 WC 2022: भारत के सहारे सेमीफाइनल में पहुंच

“My msg to Pak cricket team today is the same I gave our team in the 1992 World Cup Final. First: enjoy the day as one rarely gets to play in a World Cup final & don’t get overawed by it. Second: you will win if you are willing to take risks & can cash in on mistakes by opponents; That means playing with an attacking mindset. Good luck; the whole nation is praying for your success.”

Here are the playing XIs of both teams:
