Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan slammed Pakistan fans after India’s U19 team lost to Australia in the final of the ICC U19 World Cup 2024. He strongly condemned the negative behavior of Pakistani fans, stating that it reflects their mindset.
India suffered another heartbreak

India’s U-19 team suffered a big 79-run loss against Australia in the final of the ICC U19 World Cup 2024. Despite a strong performance throughout the tournament, winning all their matches without any losses, it wasn’t the happy ending Uday Saharan’s team hoped for. This defeat was their first in the entire tournament.
In the final match, India’s bowlers, led by Raj Limbani who took three wickets, did well to limit Australia to a total of 253 runs. Initially, it seemed like India would have a comfortable victory with the bat. However, things didn’t go as planned.
India’s batsmen struggled to perform well. Adarsh Singh scored the highest with 47 runs, but overall, the team couldn’t get a good momentum going with the bat. The Australian bowlers kept taking wickets regularly, putting pressure on India.
Despite efforts from Murugan Abhishek and Naman Tiwari, who added 46 runs together, India couldn’t chase down the target. They were eventually all out for 174 runs, losing the game by 79 runs.
Irfan Pathan Slammed Pakistani Fans For Trolling India After U-19 World Cup Final Defeat
In recent months, the Australian cricket team has been consistently posing challenges for India in cricket, across men’s, women’s, and U19 categories. They have notably defeated Team India in the final matches of all ICC events over the past year. This trend highlights Australia’s dominance and India’s struggles against them in crucial encounters.
As India suffered another defeat in the final against Australia, Pakistani fans saw it as a chance to tease the Indian team and its supporters. They mocked their rivals for failing to secure another ICC title, thus prolonging their wait for a championship victory.
Irfan Pathan, the former Indian all-rounder, expressed his disapproval of Pakistani fans mocking India despite their own U19 team not reaching the final. He took to his social media and emphasized that such negative behavior reflects poorly on Pakistan’s national mindset, suggesting that it’s unfair to ridicule young players who are still developing in the sport. He wrote:
“Despite their U19 team not making it to the final, keyboard warriors from across the border find pleasure in our youngsters’ defeat. This negative attitude reflects poorly on their nation’s mindset. #padosi”
