Sarfaraz Khan has quickly made an impact in international cricket. Despite years of hard work in domestic cricket, he finally got his chance to play for the national team in the ongoing series against England. And he made a ‘blockbuster’ debut in the third Test match held in Rajkot.
Sarfaraz Khan Warned Yashasvi Jaiswal About Run-Out

Sarfaraz Khan seized the chance with remarkable performances, scoring half-centuries in both innings of the Test match against England. His contributions played a pivotal role in India’s commanding victory by a massive margin of 434 runs, putting them ahead in the five-match series. However, his debut could have been even more memorable if not for a regrettable run-out incident during the first innings.
Sarfaraz played aggressively, scoring a quick fifty in just 48 balls against the English bowlers. However, his innings was ended abruptly due to a run-out. Jadeja initially called for a run but then changed his mind, leading to Sarfaraz’s dismissal.
In the second innings of the Test match, Sarfaraz Khan, still remembering his previous run-out, gave a gentle warning to his batting partner, Yashasvi Jaiswal. As Jaiswal approached his score of 199, the microphone picked up Sarfaraz advising him, βTu bhaagna mat pehle (Donβt just take off for the run).β
The video of the same has gone viral on the internet. Watch it here:

Jaiswal’s exceptional batting continued as he reached his double-century. Alongside Sarfaraz Khan, they propelled India to a commanding total of 430/4 before the declaration, setting England a daunting target of 557 runs. Jaiswal ended unbeaten on 214, with Sarfaraz on 68 not out.
Sarfaraz’s impressive debut performance earned him a place among distinguished players like Dilawar Hussain, Sunil Gavaskar, and Shreyas Iyer, who have also scored two half-centuries on their Test debuts. In the end, India bundled out England for a mere 122 runs, securing a monumental 434-run victory. The action now shifts to Ranchi for the fourth Test starting on February 23.
