RCBW captain and opener Smriti Mandhana has come into her groove against the UP Warriorz in match number 11 of the WPL 2024 season.

The left-handed opener played a thunderous knock of 80 runs in 50 balls, cracking 10 fours and 3 sixes that set her team on the way for a big total.

This magnificent knock from Smriti Mandhana, in front of the RCBW fans at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium, propelled her to the top of the list of most runs in the ongoing WPL 2024 season so far. The left-hander now has amassed 219 runs in 5 innings at an average of 43 and an impressive strike rate of 153 with two half-centuries to her name.

Smriti Mandhana’s breathtaking knock included a gorgeous, superbly-timed six off left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad over cover. That Mandhana played it against the turn of Gayakwad’s spin.

Mandhana skipped down the pitch and assessed the line and length of the ball perfectly. Twisting the bat in her hand, she walloped it over cover for a beautiful six. Later on, she also smashed off-spinnerChamari Athapaththu for a meaty hit down the ground for another sixer.
