The likes of Preity Zinta, Mohinder Amarnath, and Krishnamachari Srikkanth too made an appearance in the advertisement.

Pandya had been traded in by MI after the all-rounder spent two highly successful seasons at GT. It was learned the he had put the precondition of being named the new skipper straightaway, and MI agreed to it. The appointment of Hardik as the new MI captain didn’t set well with most people, not least Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajdeh, who made it clear with her Instagram activities.

There had been reports of unrest and strife in the MI camp with even Jasprit Bumrah being unhappy with this decision by the MI management and owners.

Recently, bowling coach Lasith Malinga delivered a message of peace and calmness in the dressing room.

Malinga said in an interview, “Rohit and Hardik are good friends. He went to GT and won the IPL, then finished runner-up. So, he has good experience and he has a good bond with boom (Bumrah), Rohit. We have a good unit.”

Mumbai will kick off their IPL 2024 campaign on March 22 in Ahmedabad against Shubman Gill’s Gujarat Titans.
