‘Play Anuj Instead Of Him’: Scared RCB Fans React After Dinesh Karthik’s Poor Shot In Nets

Dinesh Karthik is gearing up for his last IPL season. However, after seeing a shot from the veteran keeper in the nets, RCB fans feel Karthik shouldn’t even start in the first playing XI.

RCB will get their IPL 2024 campaign underway on the opening night of the tournament, on March 22 at the Chepauk, taking on the defending champions, MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings in CSK’s own den.

Two weeks out from the start of the tournament, the 38-year-old Dinesh Karthik had confirmed that he will retire from IPL at the end of this year’s season. While Karthik seems a first-choice player in RCB’s XI, in the wicket-keeper and finisher’s role, if he couldn’t pull up his socks and get going with the bat, he could be dropped from the side for youngster Anuj Rawat.

RCB have started their nets and training session. Recently, they had a match simulation session at the Chinnaswamy stadium.

Dinesh Karthik played a poor shot to left-arm pacer Yash Dayal. Karthik couldn’t clear the boundary and gave a chance to a fielder at long-on, however, the fielder dropped the catch. RCB fans are scared even before the start of the season seeing this poorly timed and executed shot from Dinesh Karthik.
