Lucknow Super Giants’ Krunal Pandya and Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson shared a hilarious moment after their collision during their encounter on Sunday.

LSG and RR got their IPL 2024 campaign underway on Sunday afternoon at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Samson won the toss and opted to bat first.

In the 6th over of RR’s innings, bowled by left-arm spinner Krunal Pandya, Samson and Krunal had a mini-collision, which even meant Pandya couldn’t go for the catch. However, instead of getting angry or giving an ugly reaction, Krunal made a heartwarming gesture and hugged Samson.

The striker Riyan Parag played a false shot and the leading edge went straight to the right of both Samson, the non-striker, and Krunal Pandya, the bowler. While Krunal made an attempt to run toward the airborne ball, Samson stood his ground, and both collided. Samson had the right to stand his ground and he didn’t intentionally came in the way of Krunal.

For a second it felt that Krunal, who is known to express his emotions on the field, may give an angry reaction. However, the 33-year-old Baroda all-rounder instead hugged Sanju Samson. Both of them shared smiles and the commentators praised Krunal for his gesture.
