RCB vs LSG: “Please Retire From T20” – Fans Troll KL Rahul For Another Failure

RCB vs LSG: "Please Retire From T20" - Fans Troll KL Rahul For Another Failure

KL Rahul, the Lucknow Super Giants opener and captain, got trolled badly on Twitter following his score of 20 (14) against RCB at the Chinnaswamy stadium.

Rahul, who had played a crucial role in RCB reaching the IPL final in 2016, returned to the Chinnaswamy stadium on Tuesday and got huge cheers from the Bangalore crowd. However, the right-hander couldn’t entertain them beyond the powerplay, during which it was Quinton de Kock who mostly displayed the fireworks.

KL Rahul was getting slammed and criticised by the fans not just for his score of 20 (14), but also for his conservative approach at the start of the innings.

Despite knowing that teams have to put a huge first innings total at the Chinnaswamy, because chasing is favored here, Rahul showed no thrill at the start. He barely played an attacking shot in the first three overs and was 5(9) at one point. What was shocking and frustrating for the fans to see that Rahul played even Glenn Maxwell cautiously for dots and singles, despite Maxwell being a positive match-up for the right-handed Rahul.

Rahul did hit a six to Dayal and in Maxwell’s second over, but got out to the Australian, top-edging a half-tracker and was caught by Dagar.

Rahul had scored only 15 runs in the previous game, and before that, he played a match-losing innings of 58 (44).

RCB captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and elected to bat first.
