Pakistan’s sensational speedster Shaheen Afridi, who is currently out of action, has one eye on the forthcoming T20 World Cup in Australia. In his absence, Pakistan was seen badly struggling on the cricket field off-lately. 

With the T20 World Cup 2022 just around the corner, Shaheen is likely to play his first match for Pakistan since his injury return in the tri-series which begins from Friday onwards in Christchurch. However, ahead of his much-awaited comeback, Shaheen has issued a stern warning to Pakistan’s T20 World cup opponents with a cryptic tweet.

Shaheen took to his social media before the match against Bangladesh and sharing the picture, he wrote: “Calm before the storm.” With this 4 word tweet, Shaheen has made his intentions very clear that he would be giving his absolute best in the upcoming games for Pakistan.

In Shaheen Afridi’s absence, Pakistan lost the Asia Cup 2022 as well as the 7-match T20I series against England. The Pakistan team management is waiting for the pacer to attain full fitness before he finally makes a comeback on the cricket field.

Before starting their World Cup campaign, Pakistan will begin a tri-series against Bangladesh and New Zealand on Friday, with the first match being against the Bangla Tigers. Afridi is a part of the Pakistan squad.
