VIDEO - Virat Kohli Apologizes To Fans After Turning Down Their 'Bowling' Request During RCB vs MI Clash

No matter where Virat Kohli plays in the IPL, whether it’s in Bengaluru or elsewhere, he always gets a lot of love from fans. He’s been a key figure in Indian cricket for over ten years and is adored by many people across the country.

Virat Kohli Apologizes To Fans After Turning Down Their ‘Bowling’ Request

Unsurprisingly, even fans of opposing teams don’t hesitate to show their appreciation for Virat Kohli during the IPL. This was clear once again on Wednesday (April 11) when Royal Challengers Bangalore played against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Fans hoped to see a strong performance from Virat Kohli, but were let down when he was dismissed after scoring only three runs. Later, when he took the field, fans made a request to the star batsman, shouting: “Kohli ko bowling do (give bowling to Kohli).”

Last year, fans repeatedly chanted this line during the ODI World Cup, urging Virat Kohli to bowl. Kohli eventually bowled three overs in India’s last league game against the Netherlands in Bengaluru. However, this time, the 35-year-old didn’t fulfill their request and instead apologized to the fans by gesturing with his hands.

RCB finished their innings at 196/8 in 20 overs after being asked to bat first. Despite a shaky start with the early dismissals of Virat Kohli and Will Jacks, strong performances from Faf du Plessis, Rajat Patidar, and Dinesh Karthik helped them achieve a big total.

This is the first time RCB have scored above 190 runs this season. As of now, MI are at 169/2 in just 13 overs, with Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav at the crease for the home team.
